Thus, the cables segments of structured cabling do not need to be installed new. This reduces the changing time and costs to a minimum. 6 incoming and 6 outgoing 8-wire cable can be connected without substantial impairment of the transmission characteristics and limitation of the maximum link lengths fixed. The installation is done with the help of a LSA-punch down tool.
