With the Speedlite 430EX II, Canon presents the successor of the popular Speedlite 430EX. The powerful, compact flasher with guide number 43 (for ISO 100 and reflector position for 105 mm) has an integrated diffusion disc of the beam angle, in order to be able to illuminate the picture angle of a 14-mm objective. With versatile uses it is recommended for amateurs and professional photographers. A series of new performance features enhance flexibility and usage comfort. The flash follow-up time could be increased by about 20 percent, the charging process runs thereby extremely softly and inconspicuously. A metallic flash-base with connection contacts ensures a communication between the camera and the flash. Furthermore, a mechanism for a quick fixing and removal of the Speedlite is integrated, which has already impressed you in Speedlite 580EX II. The Speedlite 430EX II can act as central component of an integrated flash system for analogue as well as for digital cameras and supports the remote-coupled E-TTL-II flash control of the latest EOS cameras. It can also be used as slave-flash for cordless flashing.
